Overview
After a morning hiking beneath towering granite cliffs or exploring Yosemite’s iconic spots like Mist Trail and Half Dome, there’s no better way to recharge than with a laid-back lunch on the Curry Village Pizza Deck. This good place to grab a bite offers fresh, hot meals with unbeatable views and an inviting atmosphere—perfect for hikers, families, and anyone needing a refuel in stunning Yosemite National Park.
Curry Village (originally Camp Curry) has been serving park visitors since 1899, offering rustic cabins, tent cabins with canvas walls, and a diverse array of lodging options nestled in the heart of Yosemite National Park. What started as a budget-friendly camp by David and Jennie Curry has evolved into a bustling hub with a cozy atmosphere, access to popular trailheads, and convenient food options—all just steps from the valley floor.
Lunch at The Deck Plan
After an early start and a morning trek to the Vernal Fall Footbridge, we found ourselves craving something hot and hearty. Our packed food could wait—we wanted something fresh. The Deck at Curry Village Dining hit the spot with hand-tossed pizza, cold drinks, and picnic-style seating under the pines. With the granite walls of Glacier Point behind us and a distant view of Half Dome, this quick stop turned into one of our favorite memories from the trip.

Location
Curry Village is located in the eastern part of Yosemite Valley, just a short walk from major trailheads like Mist Trail and Mirror Lake. It’s easily accessible via the free Yosemite Valley Shuttle (stop #14), which loops through popular areas in the Valley. Nestled among pine trees and granite cliffs, The Deck sits right next to the main dining and lodging facilities in Curry Village.
Best Time to Go
The best time to visit Yosemite is late spring through early fall—typically May through October. During this window, most of the park’s roads and trails are open, waterfalls are flowing, and dining spots like The Deck are fully operational. Summer months bring the most visitors, so arrive early or dine during off-peak hours if you want a quieter experience.
