Check-In Procedures
When we arrived for the first time at the large Cagle Recreation Area, there was no one manning the entrance booth. We were a little confused about what to do without someone there to talk with. So I drove back to the camping area based on the directions of the signs in the park. Luckily, I knew which campsite number I was looking for. Once I got to my spot, the friendly camp hosts drove up on their golf cart and gave me the parking pass for my vehicle. Since we had a large group (almost 100 people for our Cub Scout camping trip) the park host gave me the parking passes for everyone so they didn’t all have to go to him when they arrived.
For those who are doing a day pass, you must have exact cash and place it in the envelope at the entrance, keeping the stub as proof of payment. Then you can make your way to the day-use area or to the camping loops if you are meeting friends there.
